Stephen D. Horvath - Sales Director
Professional Profile:
With a nearly 14 year survival at CFC, Steve continues to enjoy the opportunity to touch a talented and intriguing cross section of individual producers. His insurance roots run deep, and they are beginning to go slightly gray. Steve began his career as a "hog" (home office guy) in the early 70's (that's 1970's) with Occidental Life, which begat Transamerica, which begat Aegon and the progeny goes on. The evolution of LifeUSA to Allianz blossomed during his CFC tenure, and his decades in the industry serve him well as he learns, hones in and shares ideas that he runs into every single day. Using his own life license he continues to experience what you experience, and have empathy as sweat pours from your heads across the kitchen table, pen in hand, app at the ready, staring at your next commission.
Education:
A BA in Philosophy and double minors in English and History from St. John's Seminary College gave Steve the appropriate twist to deal with the likes of those he grapple's with on the phone daily. A brief military career that took Steve from LT to CPT in 3.5 years brought grounding to what might have been a penchant for a hippie lifestyle. Constant exposure to the movers and shakers in our industry (you the selling professionals) furthers his belief that "you learn something new every day."
Personal:
Steve's personal tribe consists of his most excellent wife, Sandy, who has kept him within appropriate bounds for better than 38 years. With that came only four children and two granddaughters. Steve has the distinction of being a seventh generation Californian, and first became a grandfather at the tender age of 33.
Message to Our Producers:
It is a distinct honor to be associated with the insurance professionals who have aligned themselves with CFC. It is my privilege to coach you in the direction of new achievements and continually higher goals.
I have watched many of you grow over the years from one person operations to multi-faceted agencies, or others simply who progress with constant increases in production and earnings. I am in this to win, and proud to have a hand in your success. A wise mentor early in my career once told me, "Lieutenant, take the men across the river." I understand that to be a real leader one must have walked in the shoes of those they lead -- no matter how big or small those feet may be.
My motto: "The fun never stops."
